Cage Combat Fighting Championships Rocked the House in Santa Rosa

Cage Combat Fighting Championships put on another excellent show with 11 action packed fights, in front of a sold out Arena. Starting with a big upset in the main event between Former Heavyweight Champion Rick Cheek and the new Heavyweight Champion Buddy Roberts. Roberts won by Rear Naked Choke at 52 seconds of the 1st round.
In the Welterweight Title Fight, Team VOODOO’s Jeremiah Metcalf was able to take the title from Team Ush’s James Terry with an awesome domineering performance. Metcalf showed up determined, prepared and was not going to be denied. Metcalf’s size and reach proved be a problem for Terry destroying his chance of leaving with the belt.
In the Middleweight Title Fight, NorCal Fighting Alliance’s David Mitchell proved he’s still the man stopping Team Mixed Breed’s Jeff Morris by submission at 2:30 of the 1st round. It was a great match, Mitchell improved his record to 6-0 beating a well seasoned opponent in Jeff Morris 6-5. 
Knockout of the night goes to Team Middletown MMA’s Alexander Trevino 2-0 sending Justin Farmer 0-1 face down to the mat at 2:55 of the 3rd round. Farmer had to be helped out of the cage.
Team Alpha Male’s Danny Castillo improved his record to 5-0 stopping Team Ush’s Isaiah Hill 4-5 at 2:46 of the 1st round. Castillo fights out of Urijah Faber’s camp and is a fighter to be reckoned with.
Nor-Cal Fighting Alliance’s Marcello Cassero improved his record to 4-0 with a submission by rear naked choke at 1:42 of the 2nd round over Michael Lyssand 0-3.
World Team USA’s Ky Hollenbeck put on a strong performance stopping the Lions Den’s Darren Freeman by TKO at 2:04 of the 1st round.
Brawl of the night goes to Submission Coalition’s Tony Boyles winning a hard fought match over a determined Fight n Fitness fighter Evan Esguerra  by decision.
