Tony “The Tiger” Promotions held its first Pro-Am Boxing Event at Raley Field in Sacramento, Ca., home of the River Cats AAA Professional Baseball Team. The event provided 6 exciting Professional Fights, 5 Amateur Fights reasonable priced food and a family atmosphere. In the Main Event Cosmo Rivera (31-11-2) Cullacan, Mexico over came a head butt in the 2nd round stopping Bobby Joe Valdez (9-4-2) of El Paso, Texas with a fierce upper cut followed by a left right combination that sent Bobby Joe sprawling to the canvas. The Referee stopped the bout at 2:50 of the 3rd round. Jorge Barajas (6-0-0) Modesto, Ca. pounded out a unanimous decision over Lester Gonzales (7-1-0) San Diego, Ca.. Efrain Esquivias (3-0-0) Carson Ca. won by majority decision over Gabriel Tolmalyan (1-1-0) Armenia. Michael Ortega (1-0-0) fighting out Mateen’s Gym in Sacramento, Ca showed a strong performance controlling the fight and winning a unanimous decision over Kazgen Simikyan (0-1-0) Glendale, Ca.. Francisco Mora (3-0-0) La Puente, Ca. stopped Ignacio Solorio (3-3-0) with a strong left right combination at 2:57 of the 4th round. Mora controlled the fight with hard accurate combinations. Efrain Rivera (1-0-0) San Jose, Ca. won a unanimous decision over Ryan Chaney (0-1-0) Auburn, Ca. |
